Dr. Arindam Chakraborty
VP of Advanced Engineering at VIAS
Dr. Chakraborty has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa and has over 10 years of experience in solid mechanics and design, non-linear FEA, fatigue and fracture mechanics, reliability analysis, composite structures in Oil & Gas, Nuclear and Structural Design. His Areas of expertise lies in Solid Mechanics & Design, ASME Code (Sections II, III, VIII) Based Strength and Fatigue Analysis, Fitness-for-Service (FFS) Assessment (API 579), System Reliability, Component Reliability and Optimization, Probabilistic Analysis. He has managed many FFS projects, provides training in FFS, Fatigue and Fracture Mechanics, FEA, Probabilistic Analysis. Dr. Chakraborty is engaged with Pressure Vessels and Piping conference committees, chairs conference sessions, involved with ASME & API code committees and has extensive journal & conference publications.
Murthy Lakshmiraju, Ph.D.
Technical Director of CFD Applications at VIAS
Dr. Lakshmiraju has over 12 years of advanced use and experience in CFD to solve real life engineering problems for numerous industries, including energy, oil and gas, marine, chemical processing and applicances. He graduated with Master’s and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Tech, USA. He has experience in different flow physics, including advanced turbulence modeling, multiphase flow, heat transfer, Dynamic Fluid Body Interaction (DFBI), Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI), Chimera mesh, Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) and reacting flows with combustion and emission modeling.
