This course provides fundamental concepts of nonlinear dynamic analysis along with practical applications through numerical techniques
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, student will be able to:
- Understand the basic theory behind Dynamic Analysis
- Understand the concepts of Nonlinear dynamics
- Use the explicit dynamics method effectively, including the application of contact and mass scaling
- Use Abaqus/Explicit and Abaqus/Standard together to solve difficult problems
- Model high strain-rate deformation and failure
- Apply the concepts to solve practical applications
- To use software as a tool for virtual modeling
