Fundamentals of Vibration
This course provides fundamental concepts of vibration-based linear analyses along with practical applications through numerical techniques
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, student will be able to:
- Extract frequencies and eigenmodes
- Determine whether the number of extracted eigenmodes is sufficient to represent the structure's response adequately
- Perform linear perturbation analyses for transient, steady-state, response spectrum and random response assessments
- Understand the challenges and how to apply damping
- Apply the concepts to solve practical applications
- To use software as a tool for virtual modeling
Target Audience
- Interns, New Graduates and Engineers / Scientists with or without work experience
- Engineers / Scientists looking to broaden understanding in new applications / areas
Prerequisites
