Fundamentals of Fracture and Fatigue
This course provides fundamental concepts of fracture mechanics and fatigue. It also covers fracture analysis using Abaqus CAE.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, student will be able to:
- Understand fundamental concepts of Fracture and Fatigue mechanics
- Identify the difference between LEFM and EPFM based approaches
- Extract J integral and SIF from FEA model
- Apply the concepts to solve practical applications
- To use software as a tool for virtual modeling
